There are some interesting bits about restaurants in the Star this morning. I hadn't heard about the new Brobecks BBQ yet. I'll have to try it out. Also, Yia Yia’s and Yahooz are both offering free delivery and also free shuttle service for diners. I guess that's what it takes to get the older, southland crowd into your place on a cold weekend.

This Weekend in Kansas City

  • We're supposed to get a good dumping of snow this weekend. Well, good enough for our new type of sissy winters that we're having. We'll get some tonight and some more tomorrow. Maybe as much as 6", I guess. So get your sleds out and head over to Suicide Hill (for about 30 minutes before all of the snow is sledded off)
  • Cyclocross National Championships at the Wyandotte County Fairgrounds all seekend
