I heard on the radio this morning that there's a group around town circulating a petition to try to save Bannister Mall. I'm all for petitions, and I can understand being either for or against the current plan of making soccer fields there. Those are both rational views. But what I don't understand is the drive to save Bannister Mall. Do you have an affinity for long vacant spaces? Do large expanses of unused surface parking lots turn you on? The mind boggles.
