From TheKCGuy
I went down to McFadden's on Friday for it's grand opening. It seems like a pretty good bar, and just feels a little bit like a chain. It may be more fun if we had more local, unique spots at the Power and Light District, but I guess it's too risky and expensive for the little guys to be the first ones in there.
I liked how McFadden's had about 10 garage doors on the West and South sides of it that open up overlooking the KC Live stage area. That's going to be great when the rest of the spots are filled up around there and we start getting some acts on stage. I've got another event downtown soon, so I look forward to seeing how the town grows into these new spots.
It's a Chiefs Sunday. What's better than chili? Check out the results of the Chili Cookoff from the Arts Incubator of Kansas City.
