Finally, we got a little rain last night. It seems like it hasn't rained since Easter or so. I guess it's been almost a month. Well, we need more. I kind of hope that it turns into some snow just because that's so fun. This reminds me. If you're a bit of a gardener, or just need a hand remembering when to do all of that stuff in the yard and gardening, you may want to check out the Savvygardener Newsletter. It's specific to Kansas City, and is written by a pretty entertaining and knowledgeable local woman. I've been subscribing for some time and have enjoyed getting it in my mailbox every week or so.

Boy, I love stories like this one from the Crime Scene KC blog. A woman screamed when threatened by a would-be robber. A handful of guys heard her and restrained the assailant, sending him to the hospital. There's no justice like vigilante street justice.
