The K-State Horticulture and Extension office produces a pretty good "Horticulture" Newsletter every week or so. Yesterday's edition featured some information about Christmas trees among the usual other useful bits. I find it useful sometimes, and you may want to subscribe.
I'm excited to hear about the coming changes for Mission, KS that will encourage pedestrian traffic around the new "The Gateway" development. There are certain blocks of Johnson Drive that I really dig because they feel like an old-time Main Street, sort of like old downtown Overland Park. Maybe this will stretch that feeling much farther along Johnson Drive.
KCMO cops are looking for an Escalade that was taken during a home invasion last night. It has KS plate "730 AKK".
