I had so much fun putting together the French Dip tour earlier this week, that I thought I'd try an Indian Food Roundup today. I've been to 4 local Indian places that I can think of recently, and I thought I'd give you my thoughts on each one.

  • Taj Mahal in Waldo offers a lunch-time buffet and is probably my favorite Indian place to dine at. You can't go wrong with the Muttar Paneer and the Chicken Vindaloo from Taj Mahal.
  • Korma Sutra in Westport never seems to have anyone in it, which is supposed to be frightening sign for an Indian place, but I've always found it to be a good restaurant. This might be my preferred place to carry out from. In addition to the Muttar Paneer, which I always get when I get Indian food, I also get the Chicken Boona Sutra or the Chicken Dansag when I carry out from Korma Sutra.
  • Ruchi near College and Antioch is the favorite among the actual Indian people that I've asked. It has a pretty large lunch buffet, perhaps the largest one of all the local Indian places.
  • Swagat right by the theater in Zona Rosa is the newest local Indian place I've tried. I got the Muttar Paneer and Chicken Vindaloo, both spicy, and both quite good. They have a full bar, so you can get cocktails, too.
