I rolled by Hannibal's Waldo Bar and Grill the other night. You might know it as "Fin's", which was its former name. Well, Hannibal's doesn't bear much of a resemblance to the old Fin's, and as far as I'm concerned, there is a new bar in Waldo. The new owner of Hannibal's at 75th and Wornall took the old Fin's and updated with a few things. They added a garage door in front and a 3 foot wide "patio" to appease both the smokers and the smoking police. They completely redid the floors and ceilings and gave the place a fresh coat of paint. After they added in a new crop of video games, pool table, and other bar necessities, the place looks like an entirely new bar. They still have their 3am liquor license. but I have a feeling that it's not going to be the same old late night dump that it used to be. It's now a respectable place to take a couple of buddies, or possibly even a date that you're already pretty comfortable with.

Note: I have not tired the food, so I can't comment on that, but you will be stunned at the transformation that Fin's has gone through to become Hannibal's.
