From TheKCGuy
I was interested to read about some plans for a greener sewer system in KCMO. Actually, this seems to incorporate more than just fixing our aging sewer systems, and includes many measures designed to reduce the amount of stormwater that KCMO has to dispose of. I applaud these efforts to improve the way we deal with rainwater, but I also wonder how much this is designed solely to get funding from the EPA. I wish KCMO could handle their own maintenance without having to expand the reach of the federal government and use federal tax money.
JPF - thanks for reminding me of our struggling sewer problems over the weekend and keeping them on my mind.
In other news, Irish KC points us to a story about Anheuser-Bush's history in St. Louis on a website I would probably not have found otherwise.
