I saw some KCMO cops enforcing the no left turn rules from Southbound Wornall onto 71st street by Sutherland's the other day, and it made me start thinking about common speed traps around Kansas City. I know that when fall comes along and school is back in session, they start running radar on Southbound State Line near Rockhurst quite a bit. They also seem to have their favorite spots on Northbound Ward Parkway just south of the Plaza, or on Southbound Southwest Trafficway near Valentine. I found a bunch more spots over at the Speed Trap Exchange which has a pretty good collection. Short of keeping your ear on the CB radio, I guess that's a pretty good way to avoid a speeding ticket around town.
