Kansas City Sky Show

Since the Royals are on the road around the first week in July this year, the annual fireworks show at Kauffman Stadium has been replaced with the Kansas City Sky Show on June 20, 2008.

From the press release:

"The Kansas City Sky Show will pay tribute to the people, history and heritage of Kansas City. At approximately five times the length of a traditional Fireworks Friday spectacular that Royals fans enjoy throughout the season, the Kansas City Sky Show will integrate new effects never seen before at Kauffman Stadium, including utilization of the traditional firework zone, on-field special effects, the iconic Kauffman Stadium fountains and the world’s largest HD videoboard. Don’t miss the largest Fireworks display in the history of Kansas City!"

Note: I also have some information on other fireworks shows in Kansas City, most of which take place around Independence Day.
