Flying Saucer opened up in the Power and Light District on Monday. They have about a zillion beers on tap and really good food. I'm looking forward to making some more trips down there. I tried out their french dip and found it to be terrific. I think they may have the best au jus in town.

  • Monday nights are pint night, featuring $2.75 pints
  • Tuesday nights (but not today) are going to be trivia night
  • Wednesday nights are brewery nights, which I think means you can buy pint glasses or something. This week is Boulevard, naturally.

Update: I just checked the KC Beer Blog because I was certain that they would have gone down there. There's a huge review (otherwise known as a drunken rant) of Flying Saucer over there, well worth the read. But what really got me is that Bull E. Vard ordered the French dip, too, and seemed to be just as satisfied as I was. His point about it being a bit small is valid, but I was filled, not overfilled after it, which is nice.
