Taj Mahal

Maybe because it's really close to my house, or maybe because it has some of the most dependable Indian food, but I seem to go to Taj Mahal more than other Indian restaurants in Kansas City. I've dug it for years. They offer a pretty good sized lunch buffet, but I typically seek them out for dinner. It's a great cheap date night, and pretty good carry-out, too.
I get Mutter Paneer at most Indian places, and at Taj Mahal I usually get the Chicken Vindaloo, too. It has potatoes in it in a red tomato sauce. I also naturally get an order of naan almost every time I go.
Taj Mahal also isn't cheap with the extras. They'll pack you full of all kinds of mango drinks, hot chai teas, rice puddings, and those donut hole-things unless you wave them off when you're done. You can spend tons of time in there enjoying all of this, washing it all down with a few Kingfisher beers or some of the cheapest, fullest glasses of wine you'll find around.
I dig Taj Mahal and probably won't stop going anytime soon.
